First Shipment of Certified Timber

A joint initiative by the nongovernmental organisations Friends of the Earth - Amazonia Program, IMAFLORA (the Institute of Forest and Agricultural Certification and Management), IMAZON (the Institute of Man and the Environment of the Amazon), and the prefabricated house construction company Casema has led to the historical first shipment of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified timber. The shipment consists of 30 cubic metres of certified timber from timber company Precious Woods Amazon (formerly Mil Madeireira).
