Friends,

Below please find a note from Ricardo Funari, a photojournalist in
Brazil whose images we have used extensively in the past. He and
Joao Ripper, a close colleague, have put together an on-line catalog
of photos available to NGOs and other groups or individuals
interested in social issues in Brazil. The catalogue currently
focuses on Brazil but in future will also include other countries.

The images and information contained in their site are wonderful, and
reflect decades of commitment to social and environmental issues.
Even if you do not need a photo for an upcoming publication, visiting
the site is sure to be informative!

I'm forwarding this information because so many of our colleagues, as
well as publishers and editors, have asked us for photos. Hopefully,
this site will prove useful to you!

Best,

Christine

TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND /OR PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR HUMANITARIAN
CAUSES (WITH LOW BUDGET FOR PHOTOGRAPHY):

We have just designed and published an on-line photo catalog devoted
exclusively to social and environmental issues. Please visit us at
http://www.socialphotos.com

You will find images dealing with issues such as the Third World,
human rights, labor, social problems, health, poverty and hunger,
modern slavery, children at risk, women's issues, religion,
environment, minorities and related subjects. This on-line catalog is
updated on a monthly basis. If you do not find the photos you need on
the site however, please let us do the research for you. Our combined
archives total more than 20 thousand images - just on social issues.
We also have a strong network of collaborating photographers.

We are a group of documentary photographers dedicated to social
change covering political, environmental and social issues. We have
been photographing people from a variety of ethnic, cultural and
economic backgrounds for two decades.

The main purpose of this site is to provide professional quality,
socially concerned photography with the benefits of digital
technology to non-profit organizations, photo buyers and publishers
around the world.

Please visit our site the next time you need images for your
newsletter, brochure, or campaign materials, and feel free to contact
us at the numbers below.
