The timber company Gethal Amazonas, from Itacoatiara, Amazonas, received yesterday official certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for its 40,000 hectare unit in Manicoré. The certification represents the fruits of two years and US$ 1 million of investment from the company. From now on, all timber processed and sold by Gethal will display the FSC green seal, which guarantees that the timber was extracted from areas managed in an ecologically correct manner. With this new addition, a total of 708,000 hectares have been certified in Brazil. Error: Unable to read footer file.
