A technical meeting was held yesterday to discuss the Structure and Growth of the Natural Forests of the Amazon Project, which aims to understand more about the ecology of the Amazon's forests in order to better make rational use of them. The project is a product of previous research conducted by EMBRAPA Eastern Amazon and should be completed by 2002, requiring more than R$ 1 million in funding.
