The Ministry of the Environment will launch this year, by way of the National Fund for the Environment (FNMA), two more projects designed to maintain and improve the condition of the environment. The project "Sustainable Amazon" will seek to support extractive communities, environmental management on Indian lands, and recuperation of affected areas. The other, "Incitement to the Offer of Seeds from Native Forest Species," will aim to establish a network of information, storage, and commercialisation of seeds from native forest species in order to benefit the recuperation of legal reserves, containment of desertification processes, and other such efforts.
