Investigations are underway into more illegal clearing in the Namadgi National Park south of Canberra.

A 200 metre strip of re-generated bushland adjacent to Piccadilly Circus was discovered bulldozed late on Wednesday.

The unauthorised clearing of national park forest earlier this year by NSW electricity distributor Transgrid is still under investigation.

ACT Urban Services Minister Bill Wood says he is shocked that a second incident has occurred.

"There's a number of penalties that are possible, and arising from the earlier damage they're being considered, but at this stage there's a lot of investigation even of that to be done and the NSW Government is having a very heavy examination of the issues behind that," he said.
