FEATURED SFI-CERTIFIED WOOD BUILDING PROJECTS<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
Building with certified wood plays a key role in mitigating climate change, improving occupant health and well-being, and bridging the gap between rural and urban economic development. One of the ways the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) supports this is by sponsoring the\u00a0Wood Design & Building Awards<\/a> in partnership with the Canadian Wood Council.<\/h5>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

SFI has selected\u00a0BA Collective Studio<\/a>, featuring timber supplied by\u00a0Structurlam<\/a>, as the winner of the 2023 SFI Sponsorship Award<\/a>. BA Collective Studio proves that commercial spaces can marry biophilic design with sustainable sourcing to create beautiful buildings that are beneficial to both people and the planet. BA Collective\u2019s commitment to sourcing SFI-certified material highlights the value of certified timber as well as the organization\u2019s commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) values. These ESG values can be demonstrated through adherence to SFI and its support of Indigenous Peoples rights, biodiversity conservation, environmental education, urban and community sustainable forestry, and much more.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
