Oui, en rayonne.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>La rayonne a \u00e9t\u00e9 invent\u00e9e au milieu des ann\u00e9es 1800 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e comme tissu aux \u00c9tats-Unis \u00e0 partir de 1911. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 appel\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0soie artificielle\u00a0\u00bb jusqu\u2019en 1924, lorsque le nom de rayonne a \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9. Aujourd\u2019hui, la rayonne est souvent utilis\u00e9e pour confectionner des v\u00eatements, comme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whowhatwear.com\/what-is-rayon\/slide4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cette robe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Les fibres de cellulose utilis\u00e9es pour fabriquer la rayonne sont produites selon un processus similaire \u00e0 celui servant \u00e0 produire les fibres utilis\u00e9es pour fabriquer le papier. Les billots de feuillus ou de r\u00e9sineux sont \u00e9corc\u00e9s et broy\u00e9s, puis les copeaux sont d\u00e9compos\u00e9s m\u00e9caniquement ou chimiquement pour s\u00e9parer les fibres cellulosiques. En plus de la cellulose, le bois contient \u00e9galement de l\u2019h\u00e9micellulose, un ingr\u00e9dient secondaire composant le papier, les cires, les ol\u00e9or\u00e9sines et l\u2019\u00e9thanol, ainsi que la lignine, qui est utilis\u00e9e pour fabriquer des colles, des biocarburants et d\u2019autres produits chimiques. Ensemble, ces trois \u00e9l\u00e9ments du bois sont appel\u00e9s lignocellulose, ou biomasse lignocellulosique, qui est la substance organique la plus abondante sur Terre.<\/p>\n<p>Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les scientifiques ont d\u00e9couvert des utilisations int\u00e9ressantes de la cellulose, en particulier lorsque les fibres sont d\u00e9compos\u00e9es en minuscules particules, appel\u00e9es nanocellulose ou nanomat\u00e9riaux cellulosiques.\u00a0Des recherches men\u00e9es par le Laboratoire des produits forestiers du Service des for\u00eats des \u00c9tats-Unis, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Purdue et l\u2019Universit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00c9tat de l\u2019Oregon ont montr\u00e9 que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/inside-fs\/delivering-mission\/deliver\/bridging-gap-concrete-may-provide-new-market-opportunities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l\u2019ajout de nanomat\u00e9riaux cellulosiques au ciment augmente la r\u00e9sistance du b\u00e9ton<\/a>. Cette d\u00e9couverte pourrait avoir une incidence positive sur le climat\u00a0: \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 qu\u2019il faut moins de b\u00e9ton pour fournir la m\u00eame r\u00e9sistance, moins de dioxyde de carbone est \u00e9mis lors de la production du ciment, laquelle repr\u00e9sente environ <em><u>8\u00a0% des \u00e9missions mondiales de dioxyde de carbone<\/u><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Une autre utilisation prometteuse des nanomat\u00e9riaux cellulosiques est la production de films transparents souples utilis\u00e9s comme plateforme pour les circuits \u00e9lectroniques\u00a0: l\u2019\u00e9lectronique imprim\u00e9e flexible. Selon les scientifiques du Laboratoire des produits forestiers, les nanomat\u00e9riaux cellulosiques peuvent servir de base \u00e0 des circuits \u00e9lectroniques recyclables, lesquels peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s dans des t\u00e9l\u00e9phones cellulaires et des \u00e9crans flexibles, par exemple, et dans des panneaux solaires pliables.<\/p>\n<p>Des batteries fabriqu\u00e9es en partie \u00e0 partir de bois?
