11:00 am – 12:00 pm PT | Pre-conference webinar

Join an introductory call to learn more about the SFI Annual Conference, the expectations for youth delegates and conference advisors, and meet with other attendees.

11 am –  1 pm PT | Resume clinic

Leading up to the conference, join our resume-clinic to get feedback on your resume. To participate, please submit your resume the Monday before (May 1).

9:00 am – 9:30 am | Youth Welcome

Join us as we celebrate our SFI Annual Conference 2023 Youth Cohort! We will also introduce the Youth Programming Agenda and connect you to key staff and other conference supports.

9:30 am – 10:30 am PT | Networking 101 Workshop

Networking is a skill that can lead to growing your professional support system in the forest and conservation sector, and beyond! Learn how to get started on creating meaningful relationships in a 21st-century world.

10:30 am – 11:00 am PT | Team building exercise

11:00 am – 12:00 pm PT | Elevator Pitch Workshop and Contest

Discover the components of a personal elevator pitch and how to customize it for different networking situations. Afterwards, participants will be encouraged to share their elevator pitches in front of judges for prizes!

12:00 pm – 12:45 pm PT | Networking bingo

Get to know one another through a game of Networking Bingo…there will be prizes! Conference Mentors are welcome to attend and participate in this activity.

3:15 pm – 4:30 pm PT | Professional headshots

Needing a fresh LinkedIn photo? Come during this time for professional headshot.

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm PT | Dinner

Join us for an offsite dinner to get to know the other youth delegates.

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm | Green Career Tables: Networking with SFI-certified organizations and certification boards

Get the chance to connect one-on-one with SFI Certified Organizations and Certification Boards. Presenters will have their own tables, where you can learn about their career pathways in the forest and conservation sector.

3:30 pm – 4:30 pm | International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) event

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm | Lunch with Conference Mentors

Grab your lunch and join us for one last gathering! We will also give out certificate awards during this time.
